Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has responded firmly to critics questioning her recent visit to the Maha Kumbh. Following her attendance at the spiritual gathering, she held an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on her X (formerly Twitter) platform, where she addressed the backlash.
When a user inquired about the negative responses to her innocuous photo from the Kumbh, she stated, “People that try to pull you down are already below you so who cares about them & about trolls and spineless keyboard cowherds (sic).”
She further emphasized, “Real guts is when you try & make a positive change around you & your environment and make the world a better place for others and for yourself,” reinforcing her commitment to positivity in the face of adversity.

In a previous Instagram post, Zinta reflected on her experiences at the Kumbh Mela, describing it as her third visit and labeling it “magical, heartwarming & a bit sad.” She shared that the trip held special significance as she was accompanied by her mother and brother, stating, “It meant the world to her.”
In her heartfelt message, she expressed a poignant realization about life and attachment: “Sad, because I wanted to be liberated from the various cycles of life & death only to realize the duality of life & attachment. Am I ready to let go of my family, my children & the people I love? No! I’m not!”
Zinta conveyed the deep emotional impact of her reflections, noting, “It’s deeply moving & humbling when it dawns on you, that the strings of attachment are strong & mighty & no matter what your attachment is, eventually your spiritual journey & the journey ahead is solo!” She concluded with a profound perspective, stating, “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience but spiritual beings having a human experience.”
On the professional front, Preity Zinta is poised for her much-anticipated return to Bollywood with the film “Lahore 1947,” directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. Produced under Aamir Khan Productions, this project also features prominent actors such as Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Karan Deol, marking her comeback after a significant break from the film industry.
