The well-known actress balances her life between the United States and India and recently connected deeply with the spiritual essence of the Maha Kumbh Mela, an event that attracts millions of devotees from all corners of the globe to Prayagraj.
Through posts on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), Preity shared her reflections, writing, “All roads lead to the Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj ().”
Accompanying her message, she posted a tranquil image of herself clad in a clean white shirt with sunglasses, adorned with a garland, embodying a sense of peace and fulfillment.
Her fans responded enthusiastically, filling the comments section with expressions of love, heart emojis, and encouraging words, excited to witness her embrace of the spiritual setting. The actress successfully navigates her lifestyle between her residence in the US with her husband, Gene Goodenough, and her professional commitments in India.
Earlier, fellow actors Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif were spotted arriving at the grand event as well. The Maha Kumbh Mela commenced on January 13, 2025, and is set to conclude on February 26. Devotees are congregating at the Triveni Sangam, the sacred meeting point of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the legendary Saraswati rivers, to take sacred dips and seek spiritual rejuvenation.
On the professional front, Preity is preparing for her eagerly awaited return to Bollywood in Rajkumar Santoshi’s film *Lahore 1947*, which is being produced by Aamir Khan Productions. The film features a notable cast including Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Karan Deol, marking a significant comeback for her after an extended break.
Preity wrapped up filming *Lahore 1947* in June of last year and offered a sneak peek into the production through a series of behind-the-scenes images. She expressed her appreciation for the cast and crew, stating, “It’s a wrap on *Lahore 1947*, and I couldn’t be more grateful to the entire cast and crew for such an incredible experience . I sincerely hope you enjoy this film as much as we enjoyed making it. It’s definitely the toughest film I’ve worked on.”
