Prowatch X Unveils 1.43-Inch AMOLED Display and IP68 Rating in India

The Prowatch X, a new smartwatch from Lava, was officially launched in India on Saturday. This device features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display set within a sturdy aluminium alloy frame. Tailored for health enthusiasts, the Prowatch X includes a range of monitoring capabilities such as SpO2 levels and heart rate variability (HRV). Additionally, it supports GPS and Bluetooth connectivity for enhanced functionality. Battery performance is a notable aspect, with the smartwatch boasting up to 10 days of life on a single charge, alongside an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Prowatch X Pricing and Availability in India

The Prowatch X is priced at Rs. 4,499 in India. Pre-orders will be accepted from February 15 to February 18, during which customers can benefit from a Rs. 1,000 discount when purchasing via bank debit or credit cards.

This smartwatch will officially launch for sale on Flipkart starting February 21 and will be offered in a single Cosmic Grey color. Buyers can choose from various strap materials including metal, nylon, and silicone.

Specifications and Features of Prowatch X

Equipped with a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen that boasts a resolution of 466×466 pixels, the Prowatch X features Corning Gorilla Glass 3, a peak brightness of 500nits, and a pixel density of 326ppi alongside a refresh rate of 30Hz. The device is powered by a dual-core ATD3085C processor and is compatible with both iOS and Android platforms.

In terms of sensors, the smartwatch is comprehensive, including an HX3960 PPG sensor for heart rate and SpO2 monitoring, alongside a six-axis accelerometer, barometer, altimeter, and compass. Built-in GPS and Bluetooth 5.3 facilitate connectivity, supports phone calls, and allows for quick responses to notifications.

The Prowatch X is designed to accommodate a wide variety of activities, capable of tracking over 110 sports and workouts, as well as six structured running courses. Features such as intelligent exercise recognition (IER) and aerobic training effect tracking contribute to its appeal for fitness enthusiasts. Additionally, it provides a host of health tracking options including body energy monitoring, VO2 Max, HRV analysis, post-workout recovery insights, sleep monitoring, and guided breathing exercises.

Powering the device is a 300mAh battery, which Lava claims can achieve up to 10 days of use on a single charge, 17 hours with GPS activated, or approximately five hours of Bluetooth calling. The brand claims to have collaborated with Techarc to ensure the Prowatch X’s accuracy and performance.

Moreover, users can benefit from additional features like Air Quality Index (AQI) tracking and the option to monitor both watch and smartphone activities. The smartwatch also offers a choice of over 110 customizable watch faces. With its IP68 certification, the Prowatch X is resistant to dust and can withstand brief exposure to water; however, specifics around swimming capabilities remain unaddressed.
