PUP Announces New Album and Reflects on Life Changes
The Toronto-based band PUP has revealed details about their upcoming album, Who Will Look After the Dogs?, produced by John Congleton. This marks their fifth studio effort, following the release of The Unraveling of PUPTheBand in 2022. The new album comprises 12 tracks, with singles including January’s “Paranoid” and the recently unveiled track “Hallways.” A music video for “Hallways” has also been released.
Who Will Look After the Dogs? is set for release on May 2. In a statement regarding the new album, frontman Stefan Babcock shared insights into the personal turmoil he experienced around the time of their previous album launch. “Shortly after we announced The Unraveling of PUPTheBand, my life took an unexpected turn,” he recounted. “The lyrics for ‘Hallways’ came to me during that chaotic week. It was a bizarre experience.”
