Here’s the most effective method for procuring Live Heartcells in Warframe.

For players eager to maximize their experience with Warframe’s Techrot Encore update while amassing Live Heartcells, our comprehensive guide is tailored for you.

The Techrot Encore update, marking the first substantial release of 2025 for Warframe, debuts the 60th Warframe, Temple. It also introduces new missions, Photoframes, and, notably, the Technobyte Coda adversary system, wherein players confront a distinctive “Techrot boyband virus” to earn the much-coveted Live Heartcells.

Whether you’re a novice or a veteran Drifter, this guide is designed to streamline your process of acquiring Live Heartcells to unlock an array of exciting gear.

How to farm Live Heartcells in Warframe

After the Techrot Encore update, players visiting Eleanor in Höllvania Central Mall will likely notice the new Coda weapons section, necessitating Live Heartcells for acquisition. Keep in mind that all Coda weapons are restricted to Mastery Rank 17, so ensure you’re leveled up accordingly to access them.

Requirements to participate in the Technocyte Coda system

Live Heartcells serve as a unique currency exclusive to the purchase of Coda weapons from Eleanor. Before embarking on your quest to farm them, it’s essential to meet the following criteria:

Complete all main Quests up to and including The Hex Quest
You must have access to the Höllvania missions to engage with the Technocyte Coda system.

No active Kuva Lich or Sister of Parvos.
You can only have one adversary active at a time, or you won’t encounter the mixtapes necessary for generating a Technocyte Coda.

Gather Antivirus and Potency Mods

With access to Höllvania missions in Warframe, begin by focusing on collecting Antivirus and Potency mods, which are crucial for farming Live Heartcells.

Engage in the new Antivirus Mod bounty mission, Volatile Techrot Legacyte Harvest, to obtain Antivirus Mods. Defeating enemies within Techrot missions can yield Potency Mods as well.

Here’s a list of the Antivirus Mods available in Warframe:

  • ByteRyte: Keeps your bytes tight and your bits fit
  • Drive-Duster: Your effective digital virus fighter
  • Soft Safe: Always monitoring for digital safety
  • Anti-V: Effective against digital threats
  • Computer Cop: Combating cyber-crime
  • Worm Away: Eliminating various malware
  • Trojan Tracker: Longstanding virus eliminator
  • Keep-Clean: Ensuring cleanliness in your systems

Here’s a list of the Potency Mods you can acquire in Warframe:

  • Immuno Shield: Provides 15 percent Disinfection and 5,000 Affinity
  • Quick Correct: Offers 10 percent Disinfection and a 10 percent chance to drop a Live Heartcell
  • Threat Blocker: Grants 10 percent Disinfection with a 25 percent chance to drop a Potency Mod
  • Turbo Protect: Provides 10 percent Disinfection and a 25 percent chance to drop an Antivirus Mod
  • Instant Secure: Ensures 15 percent Disinfection and accumulates 10,000 Höllars

Mod Packs can also be purchased from the Market with Platinum. Since you’ll need at least one of each Antivirus Mod for successfully disinfecting a Technocyte Coda, acquiring a Mod Pack is the most efficient approach; otherwise, you’ll need to repeatedly engage in bounties to build a stockpile. While Potency Mods aren’t required for defeating Technocyte Codas, they do enhance the disinfection process and provide additional benefits.

It’s advisable to gather at least one of each of the eight Antivirus Mods and five Potency Mods—particularly the Quick Correct Potency Mod—before advancing to the actual farming stage for Live Heartcells in Warframe.

Steps to get Live Heartcells and how to farm

To obtain Live Heartcells in Warframe, adhere to these steps:

  • Collect mixtapes dropped by enemies in Techrot missions and utilize them at the infested terminal to initiate a hack puzzle. Complete the puzzle to spawn a Technocyte Coda.
  • Disinfect the Technocyte Coda by participating in Exterminate, Hell-Scrub, and Legacyte Harvest Höllvania missions or bounties, using the Antivirus Mods. These missions are clearly marked in green on the NavNow map screen.
  • While disinfecting, you can equip three Antivirus Mods simultaneously to identify the correct one for that specific Technocyte Coda. Once you pinpoint the right mod, replace the others with two Potency Mods to enhance disinfection speed and benefits. Using the Quick Correct Potency Mod is highly recommended, as it grants a 10 percent chance of Live Heartcell drops upon executing a Parazon Mercy finisher on a Technocyte Coda, alongside the option to equip a Threat Blocker for additional rewards.
  • Post-disinfection, the Technocyte Coda will retreat to Earth Proxima. Transition to Skirmish (Railjack) mode to complete the Technocyte Coda Concert mission. Choose to “Vanquish” the Technocyte Coda at the mission’s conclusion to earn 10 to 15 Live Heartcells along with other assorted rewards.

Afterward, return to Höllvania and repeat the process to gather more Live Heartcells necessary for acquiring the Coda weapons in Warframe. Each weapon requires 10 Live Heartcells, enabling you to amass the required currency across a maximum of seven runs through these steps.

Now that you’re equipped with the knowledge to farm Live Heartcells, aim to acquire all 13 of the new Coda weapons in Warframe. Each weapon features an appealing pink glow and includes a Valence Bonus that regenerates randomly, opening new possibilities as they cycle into Eleanor’s inventory. Note that each Coda weapon can only be purchased once per rotation. If you accumulate duplicates, remember to fuse them to enhance their Valence Bonus.
