Rachel Zegler Discusses Her Role in “Snow White”
During a conversation with “Extra’s” Terri Seymour, actress Rachel Zegler opened up about her experiences while filming the highly anticipated live-action adaptation of “Snow White.” The discussion included a fun segment titled “Mirror, Mirror,” where Zegler shared some memorable moments from her journey.
One of her standout experiences was the scuba training she underwent for a specific scene where her character falls into the water. Describing the experience as “life-changing,” Zegler recalled, “I spent about two weeks learning how to scuba dive for that one second of footage. I met a wonderful man named Pete, an ex-Navy instructor, who guided me through the process at depths of 40 meters. Learning to regulate my breathing underwater was truly magical for me.”
When asked about her current favorite music, Zegler enthusiastically endorsed Lady Gaga’s new album, particularly the track “LoveDrug” from the album “Mayhem.” She expressed her admiration for Gaga, noting, “Everyone knows how much I love Lady Gaga, and that album became my soundtrack during our tour. I became really obsessed with ‘Love Drug’ while flying between shows.”
On a more personal note, she revealed who she considers the “fairest of them all” in her life, saying, “My mom is the most beautiful person in the world, with the kindest heart—she truly is the best.”
Identifying with Doc
In a playful assessment of her character’s friendships, Zegler claimed she aligns most closely with Doc, the practical and realistic character among Snow White’s companions. “I see a bit of myself in Doc. I tend to be a practical realist—sometimes excessively so,” she admitted. “I thrive on facts, spreadsheets, and schedules; I have a color-coded planner that my friends tease me about.”
As for her musical performances in the film, Zegler expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “There’s nothing more exhilarating than singing as a Disney princess while dressed in costume, surrounded by such talented individuals who elevate the experience.”
The live-action version of “Snow White” is set to be released on March 21, and fans are eagerly awaiting to see Zegler’s interpretations in this classic fairy tale.
