The acclaimed director duo of Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., known as Raj & DK, recently shared an enigmatic message just as their film Stree 2 enjoyed significant success at the box office. Despite being the original writers behind the Stree franchise, Raj & DK have distanced themselves from the project following a professional disagreement with producer Dinesh Vijan. After reconciling their differences last year, Stree 2 has acknowledged their foundational contributions to the series.
While there has been no official statement from Raj & DK regarding Stree 2, they did post an intriguing message on social media on the film’s release date. The post read, “Create. Rinse. Create.” Additionally, they limited comments on their post, leaving fans speculating about its relevance to Stree 2, especially given its timing with the film’s debut in theaters.

To provide some background, Raj & DK not only intended to write Stree 2 but also envisioned crafting a third installment. Their fallout with Dinesh Vijan emerged after the commercial triumph of the first Stree film, reportedly due to unresolved financial disputes. Sources suggested that Raj & DK were dissatisfied over an alleged failure by Vijan to compensate them adequately, with claims that a sum of Rs 20 crore was withheld from their profits. Initially, the three had partnered equally, splitting profits down the middle.
This strained relationship not only resulted in Raj & DK stepping away from Stree 2 but also affected Vijan’s involvement in other projects, such as Go Goa Gone 2. However, in a recent interview, Vijan confirmed that their prior issues were amicably resolved, though he refrained from commenting on future collaborations among the three.
Stree 2 Box Office Collection:
As for Stree 2’s performance, early box office projections indicated that the film raked in approximately Rs 135.7 crore by the conclusion of its third day in theaters. Notably, the movie experienced a remarkable surge in sales, with Saturday’s earnings estimated at Rs 44 crore, showcasing a strong uptick compared to Rs 31.4 crore collected on Friday. The film’s positive reception reflects a growing audience interest in the franchise despite the behind-the-scenes disputes among its creators.
