The Kapoor Family Invites PM Modi to Celebrate Raj Kapoor’s 100th Birth Anniversary

They formally invited him to partake in the celebrations commemorating the 100th birth anniversary of the iconic actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor. Ranbir Kapoor, expressing his sentiments regarding the meeting, admitted to feeling quite anxious beforehand. Ranbir thanked PM Modi for his engagement, stating, “Unhone bohot hi friendly nature se baat ki. I think humare andar jo nervousness thi, aur hum sab ki hawa tight thi. Lekin he made us all feel very comfortable,” highlighting the Prime Minister’s approachable nature.
Kareena Kapoor shared her excitement about the interaction, which she characterized as a “dream come true.” She recounted, “It was my dream to sit next to PM Modi and talk to him. His energy is so positive, and he is truly a global leader.” She recalled how the Prime Minister inquired about her children, Taimur and Jeh, even going so far as to provide a special autograph for them, adding a personal touch to their encounter.
Moreover, Ranbir emphasized that the dialogue with PM Modi extended beyond mere formalities, encompassing more personal discussions that helped to ease the family’s anxieties. Kareena reinforced this notion, describing the overall experience as unforgettable and heartwarming.

This year’s Raj Kapoor 100 film festival is poised to be a grand affair, celebrating the legacy of the beloved actor-director across ten cities, in 40 cinemas, and on 135 screens, marking a significant milestone in Indian cinema.
