“Hey Randy, wanted to let you know we’re behind you as you continue your fight. Welcome back to TV and Countdown,” stated Bill Belichick, Moss’s former coach with the New England Patriots.
Former teammate Tom Brady also conveyed his joy, saying, “Welcome back, Randy. I’m sure all the guys on the set have missed you, but we’ve all missed you as well. You’ve been a staple of this show for a long time, just as you were on the field.”
Brady lauded Moss’s spirit, adding, “For as remarkable as you were on the field, showcasing strength and resilience during your Hall of Fame career, your ability to inspire us all off the field has been even more profound.”
Other notable athletes who contributed to the emotional tribute included Kevin Garnett, Jerry Rice, Justin Jefferson, Steve Smith Sr., Malik Nabers, Cam Heyward, and Micah Parsons.
Moss was visibly touched by the overwhelming support, wiping away tears on camera and acknowledging, “Y’all already know. Y’all already know it’s the big crybaby here. Hey y’all, I couldn’t do it alone. And I really thank y’all.”
He concluded with heartfelt reflections: “Hey guys, it’s been hard, but I’ve received a lot of love and know a lot of people believe in me. I’m thrilled to be here.”
Back in December, Moss revealed that doctors found a cancerous mass located between his pancreas and liver after he observed unusual discoloration in his urine. Following this discovery, medical professionals performed surgery to remove the affected tissue, emphasizing Moss’s journey toward recovery.
