Hitachi Vantara has confirmed a ransomware attack that occurred on April 26, leading the company to take several systems offline. Speaking to the security portal Bleeping Computer, representatives acknowledged the incident and the immediate steps taken in response.

This subsidiary of the renowned Japanese conglomerate Hitachi specializes in data platforms and infrastructure systems tailored for businesses and governmental organizations. Its client roster includes a variety of prestigious companies across multiple sectors, such as BMW, Datev, and Santander Bank.
