Dhurandhar Anticipated for Late 2025 Release
Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna’s upcoming film, Dhurandhar, is nearing the end of its production phase, with plans for post-production to commence by March, aiming for a release later in 2025.
Currently, the filming of Dhurandhar is in its final stages, directed by Aditya Dhar, who began production in July 2024. The narrative centers around the history of India’s Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW), underscored by intense action sequences that are integral to the film.
According to a source cited by Mid-day, the Mumbai shooting schedule emphasizes several high-stakes action scenes that have been carefully staged in a controlled environment in Andheri. Ranveer has been dedicating considerable effort to prepare for these sequences, which are expected to be filmed over the upcoming two weeks. The schedule also involves key interactions between Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, with additional cast members set to join shortly to conclude their filming days.
As preparations move forward, the production team is optimistic about entering post-production by March, keeping the film’s release timeline intact for late 2025.
Aditya Dhar recently shared insights about the film’s progress, commending Ranveer Singh’s efforts and performance. He expressed satisfaction with the filming process, stating, “We are actively shooting and aim to release it by the end of this year. I’m pleased with how everything is coming together.” He further recognized Ranveer’s exceptional portrayal in the film.
Ranveer’s distinct look for the film, featuring long hair and a turban, recently made waves on social media, with images showing him in a suit alongside a bloodied injury on his face. Reports indicate that his character is an R&AW agent, with the storyline drawing inspiration from true events within India’s intelligence framework. Many fans have drawn parallels between this new appearance and his acclaimed role as Alauddin Khilji in the film Padmaavat.
Dhurandhar boasts a remarkable cast, including R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Aahana Kumra, all contributing to a film that promises to be a gripping and immersive cinematic experience.
