On a recent episode of The Masked Singer, Ant, Coral, and Paparazzo faced off in the Group A finals during a themed evening called “Rat Pack Night.” The show, hosted by Nick Cannon, saw the contestants perform for a panel consisting of Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Rita Ora. Following their performances, two contestants advanced to the next stage of the competition, while one was forced to unmask themselves. The episode aired on February 26 on Fox.
Coral’s Tribute
Coral opened the evening with a heartfelt tribute connecting her personal experiences to the Rat Pack. She shared, “Reaching the Group A finals is surreal, particularly on ‘Rat Pack Night,’ as their music brings back cherished memories of my dad. Back on the East Coast, we would drive along the shore while listening to Sammy Davis Jr., dreaming of one day being a star.” Coral expressed her struggles after moving to the West Coast, feeling out of place until her father supported her through it all. In her performance, she sang “Luck Be a Lady” by Frank Sinatra, earning praise from the panelists. Ken referred to her as “the front-runner,” while Rita complimented Coral for making the classic song her own. Coral also addressed her on-stage clue of an apple with a nod to the famous saying, “If you can make it there, you can make it anywhere!” Panelists speculated on her identity, with guesses including Victoria Justice, Rachel Zegler, and Camila Mendes.
Ant’s Performance
Following Coral, Ant took the stage, sharing a package of new clues about her journey. She expressed her excitement for the Rat Pack tribute and metaphorically likened her journey to being part of an ant colony, highlighting the importance of companionship and resilience in her life and career. Ant performed “Fever” by Peggy Lee, showcasing a vibrant side of her personality. Robin noted that the performance highlighted a fun new aspect of her character. As for her on-stage clue—a moon man—she remarked, “While I don’t live where he does, that place played a crucial role in my career.” The panelists’ guesses for Ant included Aubrey O’Day, Mel B, and Charli xcx.
Paparazzo’s Show of Heritage
Finally, Paparazzo stepped up, sharing clues that celebrated his Italian heritage. He explained how his grandparents focused on assimilation after immigrating to the U.S. and noted the challenges he faced when breaking into the entertainment industry due to his last name. Paparazzo paid homage to his family and culture with a performance of “That’s Amore” by Dean Martin. Rita praised his beautiful rendition and appreciated the hints about his Italian background. His clue involved Frankenstein, to which he remarked, “While monsters can be scary in real life, they often have a friendly place on screen.” The panel’s guesses included Cole Sprouse, Michael Cera, and brothers Matthew or Andrew Lawrence.
The Battle Royale
The competition intensified as Paparazzo was voted through to the Lucky Six, leaving Ant and Coral to face off in a Battle Royale. They each performed Sinatra’s “My Way,” putting their unique spin on the classic before the panelists cast their votes.
The Results
Ultimately, Ant was eliminated from the competition. Before revealing her identity, the panel had a chance to open a “Crack the Case” clue case, which held a world record hint. When asked about its significance, Ant humorously remarked, “With so many records, it’s hard to pinpoint.” The panelists made their final guesses, suggesting names such as Evan Rachel Wood and Aubrey O’Day. Breaking the suspense, Ant unmasked to reveal herself as Danity Kane member Aubrey O’Day, confirming Robin’s correct guess.
