This four-part series will be directed by Joshua Altman, featuring the talents of executive producers Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Sara Bernstein, Christopher St. John, and Justin Wilkes from Imagine Documentaries. Additional contributions come from Dan Lindsay and TJ Martin of Everyone Else, alongside Tim Clark and John Dahl from NASCAR Studios.
Prime Video has also provided detailed insights into each episode, chronicling Earnhardt’s evolution from a novice driver to ‘The Intimidator,’ culminating in the tragic events of the 2001 Daytona 500.
Episode 1 – Ironhead
This episode chronicles Dale’s rapid rise to fame on NASCAR’s grandest platform, highlighting his remarkable championship win during just his second season. This year marks a milestone for Amazon as it prepares to broadcast NASCAR Cup races for the first time, covering a total of five events. Additionally, Prime Video plans to release documentaries focused on NASCAR’s Garage 56 entry at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and another exploring Kyle Larson’s endeavor to achieve the rare Indy 500 and Coke 600 double.
