Samsung is gearing up for the release of its Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 models, with a launch date set for March 2 in India. Ahead of the official announcement, a Nigerian retailer has reportedly shared the pricing and pre-order incentives for these devices. Both the Galaxy A56 and A36 are anticipated to include 8GB of RAM with storage options extending up to 256GB. Notably, the Galaxy A56 is expected to be powered by the Exynos 1580 SoC, while both models are likely to incorporate a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor.
Alleged Pricing Details for the Samsung Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36
According to a post by Pointekonline on Threads, specific price points for the Galaxy A56 and A36 have been disclosed. The Galaxy A56 appears to be priced at NGN 565,000 (approximately Rs. 32,000) for its entry-level variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage, with the higher storage configuration at NGN 604,000 (around Rs. 35,000).
In addition, the Galaxy A36 is expected to retail for NGN 446,000 (about Rs. 25,000) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant and NGN 519,000 (roughly Rs. 30,000) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB model.
Pre-orders for both devices commenced on February 26 in Nigeria and are set to conclude on March 12. Customers who pre-order will reportedly receive complimentary items including an adapter, a Galaxy Fit 3 fitness tracker, and a premium phone cover. To reserve a unit, customers need to place a deposit of NGN 100,000 (approximately Rs. 5,000).
Earlier this week, Samsung confirmed that it will unveil three new smartphones in the Galaxy A-series during the event on March 2. While the precise models have not yet been officially disclosed, anticipation surrounds the Galaxy A56 and A36 alongside the Galaxy A26.
Under the hood, the Galaxy A56 is projected to utilize the Exynos 1580 chipset, while the Galaxy A36 might come equipped with either a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. Both devices are expected to promise longevity with six years of OS updates, support for 45W wired fast charging, and the touted 50-megapixel triple rear camera system.
