Review of Yeti Rambler Bowls

In our ongoing pursuit to evaluate culinary tools, we have expanded our examination to include essential gear for food transport. Recently, we tested the newly released Yeti Rambler bowls, which just hit the market. Over the past month, we’ve experimented with these bowls while carrying various dishes, like soups and salads, to assess their performance. With features like double-wall insulation and secure lids, they are particularly suited for outdoor dining, ensuring that both hot and cold items remain fresh and safe from pests.

Key Insights

Effective Temperature Control

Part of the Yeti Rambler line, these bowls feature the brand’s renowned double-wall insulation, similar to that found in their popular Rambler mugs. They come in three distinct sizes: 1 quart, 2 quarts, and 4.5 quarts. These bowls excel at preserving temperature, making them ideal for transporting cold dishes like pasta salads. In one of our tests, after refrigeration, the bowl maintained the coolness of a chickpea salad for over two hours on a warm porch.

Designed for Convenience

While not completely leakproof, the bowls’ press-on lids feature a silicone gasket that effectively minimizes spills. During a trial with matzo ball soup, we found that the lid successfully prevented any broth from leaking out during transport, even over bumpy roads. Additionally, Yeti claims these bowls are dishwasher-safe, a statement we can confirm after completing multiple washes without any issues.

Should You Buy Them?

Yeti Rambler Bowls—Available Now

These insulated bowls from Yeti offer an exciting solution for those who want to keep their salads chilled during outdoor activities like picnics or tailgates. They maintain food freshness, eliminating the risk of warm dips or salads. The bowls come in a range of colors including navy, papaya, cape taupe, and white, with a complete set of three priced at $150, or individually starting from $35 for the 1-quart bowl. For those favoring a design suited for salads or sauced dishes, the low bowls are also available.
