Keep Your Scalp and Follicles Healthy

While thorough cleansing is crucial, over-cleaning—particularly with dry shampoos or harsh products—can result in clogged follicles and inflammation.

“Many individuals misuse dry shampoo by leaving it in for too long. It should be applied to the hair and then brushed out to remove dirt and buildup,” Yates states. “Consider whether you’d leave makeup on your face for days—that’s what happens when dry shampoo lingers too long on your scalp.”
