Rhea Chakraborty Discusses Past Jail Experience on MTV Roadies XX
Rhea Chakraborty, known for her association with the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has recently been in the spotlight for her comments during an episode of MTV’s Roadies XX. During a task involving leaders being caged, Rhea made a light-hearted remark regarding her previous stint in jail, expressing her reluctance to experience it again.
When fellow host Rannvijay Singha mentioned that the leaders would be confined in cages for the challenge, Rhea humorously responded, “Mujhe nahi jaana phirse jail. I’m not going,” indicating her desire to avoid a repeat of her past legal troubles. Another participant, Prince Narula, playfully hinted at Elvish Yadav’s own legal issues, bringing a moment of levity to the tense atmosphere.
Rhea Chakraborty faced significant legal challenges following Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic passing in 2020. Alongside her brother, she was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau as part of a drug-related investigation tied to the actor’s death. However, recent developments reveal that both Rhea and her brother Showik have been cleared by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) regarding any involvement in the case. The CBI’s findings firmly concluded that there was no evidence of foul play in Rajput’s death, which is now categorized as a straightforward case of suicide.
In light of these revelations, several prominent figures in the entertainment industry have come forward, advocating for a public apology to Rhea for the negative media portrayal she faced during the investigation. Supporters including Soni Radzan, Pooja Bhatt, Dia Mirza, and Fatima Sana Shaikh have publicly expressed their backing for her. Rhea’s attorney, Satish Maneshinde, has articulated the immense struggles that she and her family endured throughout the investigation period, noting that Rhea spent 27 days in jail before being granted bail, despite the lack of substantial evidence against her.
