He elaborated, “I have always credited my achievements to your guidance, inspiration, and support, and I extend this same appreciation to this Padma Shri award. This represents a new India where artists no longer have to plead for recognition; instead, it comes to us naturally. For me, receiving this honor is not an end point, but rather a launchpad for greater contributions to our nation. My best work is still ahead of me. I express my heartfelt gratitude, sir.”
In the context of these awards, it’s important to note that the Indian government recently announced the recipients of the Padma Awards, which are recognized as the highest civilian honors in the country, just ahead of Republic Day. This year’s selections highlighted a range of individuals receiving recognition for their contributions, categorized into three levels: Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri.
A total of 139 awardees were honored this year—comprising seven Padma Vibhushan, 19 Padma Bhushan, and 113 Padma Shri recipients. The honorees were celebrated for their outstanding achievements across various fields, including the arts, social work, science, and medicine, showcasing the diverse contributions of these individuals to society.
