2025 Oscars: Star Presenters Announced
Academy Award winners Robert Downey Jr., Emma Stone, Cillian Murphy, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph are set to make a significant appearance as presenters for the upcoming 97th Academy Awards. This announcement marks the first group of presenters revealed for the prestigious event, which is celebrated for honoring cinematic excellence.
Last year, Downey Jr. took home his first Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Lewis Strauss in Christopher Nolan’s acclaimed film, Oppenheimer. Cillian Murphy also earned accolades as Best Actor for his portrayal of physicist Robert Oppenheimer in the same film. Meanwhile, Emma Stone won her second Oscar, this time for her standout performance in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph received the Best Supporting Actress award for her memorable role in The Holdovers.
Emma Stone’s Return to the Oscars Stage
Stone’s upcoming role as a presenter signifies her return to the Oscars stage after her triumphant win for Best Actress in La La Land back in 2017. For Downey Jr., Murphy, and Randolph, their recent victories have marked landmark achievements in their careers, further establishing their places among Hollywood’s elite.
Tradition of Past Winners Presenting
Continuing a longstanding tradition, previous Oscar winners are often selected to present awards in their respective categories. While the specific duties for each presenter remain under wraps, the combination of talent in this lineup promises to deliver engaging moments throughout the ceremony.
