Robert Irwin is embracing boldness in a recent photo shoot, showcasing his “down undies” in an exclusive feature for People. The young Australian conservationist took this daring step for a campaign promoting Bonds, an Australian underwear brand making its debut in the U.S. market.
The shoot displays Robert’s impressive physique, with a particular focus on his defined abs and muscular legs. The images feature him lounging on grass and striking poses by a fence, encapsulating a playful yet confident vibe.
As is customary for Robert, the photo series also includes some animal companions. He interacts with a variety of species, including a spider and several large snakes, which he wraps around himself while the spider rests comfortably on his shoulder. This intimate connection with wildlife echoes his late father Steve‘s own relationship with animals.
Notably, the spiders featured in the campaign are reported to be largely venomous, but Robert expressed to People that he feels completely at ease, having spent countless years dealing with potentially dangerous creatures.
When asked what he finds more daunting—posing in minimal attire or managing a crocodile—Robert didn’t hesitate to answer; he’d opt for the crocodile every time, highlighting his adventurous spirit.
Steve Irwin tragically passed away in 2006 following an unfortunate encounter with a stingray, which resulted in a fatal injury. He was only 44 years old. At the time of his father’s death, Robert was just two years old. Nonetheless, he has matured into a dedicated wildlife conservationist, carrying forward his father’s legacy of animal care and conservation efforts.
