Roblox Expands Creator Opportunities with New Avatar Bundle Sales

Roblox is set to introduce an exciting new feature designed to enhance monetization options for its creators. The platform plans to enable creators to sell avatar bundles—combinations of various items—both in the Marketplace and within individual game experiences. This development is anticipated to roll out in the upcoming months.

Enrico D’Angelo, Roblox’s Vice President of Economy, highlighted this initiative in a recent blog post. He remarked, “Selling avatars and items as a bundle is much more convenient for people, as they’ll be able to shop for full looks all at once rather than piecemeal. We recently launched a new way to search for avatar bundles and have already seen a positive uptick in people shopping for full looks, rather than individual accessories.” This streamlined approach aims to enhance the user experience by simplifying the purchasing process.

Alongside this announcement, Roblox also shared insights into the evolving landscape of creator earnings on the Marketplace. The company’s statistics reveal that creators earning at least 50,000 Robux monthly have increased by a remarkable 85% year-over-year as of June, while total monthly creator earnings have surged by 61% YoY. Additionally, since expanding access to the Marketplace for more creators back in April, those who had accounts prior to this change have seen their earnings growth rise significantly—from 30% YoY in March to 50% YoY in June.

D’Angelo emphasized the broader implications of these changes for the Roblox community: “For creators and brands alike, that means new ways to showcase their full creative vision, build connections with their audience, and grow their earnings. We know that the Roblox ecosystem is stronger when our community has more avenues and incentives to make and sell their creations.” This reflects Roblox’s commitment to fostering a vibrant and diverse creative economy that empowers creators and promotes engagement within its platform.
