Roborock Launches Saros Z70 Robot Vacuum: A New Era in Smart Cleaning

This week, Roborock made headlines with the announcement that its highly awaited Saros Z70 is now available for pre-order. Priced at $1,899, the Z70 stands out as one of the priciest robot vacuums on the market. To celebrate its release, Roborock is enticing customers with an attractive promotion that includes a free second vacuum cleaner.

The Saros Z70 was first presented at CES earlier this year, marking a significant milestone as the first mass-produced robot vacuum equipped with a robotic arm. This innovative OmniGrip arm extends from the vacuum to effortlessly lift small items—such as socks, tissues, and sandals—ensuring a more thorough cleaning process. Additionally, the vacuum boasts an impressive 22,000Pa suction power and employs Roborock’s new StarSight navigation system, which combines 3D sensors, cameras, and advanced machine learning technology to adeptly navigate and avoid obstacles in the home.

The Z70 introduces the innovative “AdaptiLift Chassis” technology, previously featured in Roborock’s Qrevo Curv model, enabling the vacuum to transition easily between different floor heights. The robot also provides two-in-one mopping and vacuuming functionalities, complemented by a multifunction docking station that not only cleans the robot’s dual-spinning mop pads but also refills its water tank and empties the dustbin.

For customers pre-ordering the Saros Z70, Roborock is offering a choice from eight additional vacuum models for free. This selection includes several upright wet/dry vacuums, along with two newly introduced robot vacuum models. The Qrevo S5V is a more affordable alternative to the Qrevo Curv, but it does not feature the AdaptiLift technology. Additionally, the Q10 S5 Plus offers a more basic version compared to the Qrevo Edge.

While Roborock has yet to disclose pricing for the new Q models, market trends suggest that the Qrevo Curv retails for approximately $1,599.99. Among the vacuums accompanying the Saros Z70 bundle is the Dyad Pro Combo, which is priced at $659.99.

This buy-one-get-one-free offer alleviates some of the shock associated with the Z70’s price tag. Furthermore, as technology advances, the utility of having a second robot vacuum at home could prove beneficial, particularly when navigating a multi-level residence.
