Ryan Seacrest’s Hidden Musical Talent Revealed on Wheel of Fortune
During a special iHeartRadio week segment on Wheel of Fortune, Maggie Sajak, the social media correspondent, engaged host Ryan Seacrest in a lighthearted conversation about his lesser-known musical talent. This revelation unfolded in a video shared on Instagram, where Sajak playfully noted Seacrest’s music expertise.
“You’re obviously a big music guy,” Sajak remarked, to which Seacrest eagerly added, “And a singer.” Their back-and-forth highlighted Seacrest’s dual identity as both a television host and a passionate music enthusiast.
Sajak, probing further, asked Seacrest about the kind of music he enjoys while driving. She then shared a fun fact: “Not everyone knows this: During the commercial breaks here, we have a fire playlist.” Seacrest chimed in, mentioning that songs from artists like Hall & Oates and Natasha Bedingfield often play on repeat in his mind.
With a playful spirit, Seacrest even attempted to hum a few lines, singing, “da da da lalalala. Feel the wind on your cheeks.” However, he humorously misquoted the actual lyrics to Bedingfield’s hit “Unwritten,” which are “Feel the rain on your skin.” Sajak quipped that audiences should keep in mind what the host might be singing in his head while they watch him on the show.
The conversation took a more entertaining turn when Sajak asked Seacrest about what karaoke duet he and his co-host Vanna White would choose if they were at a bar. Seacrest confidently selected “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” by Elton John and Kiki Dee and even sang a few lines. In response, White suggested their performance of “A Whole New World” from the beloved Disney film Aladdin.
As a backdrop to the festivities, Wheel of Fortune is currently celebrating iHeartRadio Week in light of Seacrest’s radio show, On Air With Ryan Seacrest, which is featured on iHeartRadio’s platform. The week culminates on Friday when the top three contest winners return for a chance to claim additional prizes. They will face off against musical artists Jason Derulo, Andy Grammer, and JoJo. Interestingly, despite being a stalwart figure in the music industry as the host of American Idol since its debut, Seacrest has notably never auditioned or showcased his own singing talent on the competition platform.
