The device is equipped with a 6.7-inch 1080p+ display and is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. With a generous 5,000mAh battery supporting 45W charging, the A36 stands out with its premium build quality, featuring a plastic frame accentuated by Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both sides and an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. The camera setup includes a 50MP main lens with optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 12MP front-facing camera capable of 4K video recording.

Exploring Other Smartphone Alternatives

Meanwhile, CMF has launched the Phone 1, which is available at a slight discount. The model under discussion is the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, which includes the added benefit of a microSD slot for storage expansion. Operating on the Dimensity 7300 chipset, it offers performance that is competitive with the Snapdragon found in the Galaxy A36. Its 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED display, however, lacks the durability of tougher glass. The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging capabilities, but it is limited to just two operating system updates, launching with Android 14.

New Tablets from Samsung

In the tablet realm, Samsung has released new Fan Edition (FE) models, both featuring the Exynos 1580 processor, which is also set to power the upcoming Galaxy A56 slated for release in the US. The Galaxy Tab S10 FE sports a 10.9-inch 1440p+ display coupled with an 8,000mAh battery that supports 45W charging. This latest generation is designed to be thinner and lighter than its predecessor, weighing in at 497g with a profile of just 6.0mm.

For users seeking a larger display, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ offers a 13.1-inch 1800p+ panel, maintaining the same impressive battery capacity of 10,090mAh as the Tab S9 FE+. Notably, while this iteration has replaced the ultra-wide camera, it features an improved 13MP main camera. Both tablets include an S Pen in their packages and offer expandable storage options.

Comparative Analysis with Apple’s Offerings

In comparison to Samsung’s offerings, the newly launched Apple iPad Air 11 (2025) is available at a modestly higher price of $50 compared to the Tab S10 FE. Its 11-inch IPS LCD operates at a standard 60Hz, which is only marginally lower than the 90Hz refresh rate on the Samsung tablet. The iPad excels in multitasking capabilities with its support for external monitor usage via Stage Manager, unlike the Galaxy Tab, which features DeX but is constrained by a USB 2.0 port.

Moreover, the iPad Air 13 (2025) presents a higher price point than its similarly sized Galaxy counterpart, also powered by the Apple M3 chipset. Although the M3 demonstrates strong performance, particularly in Mac devices, it’s noteworthy that iPadOS does not offer the same functionality as macOS.

Apple has also introduced an update to its base iPad, equipped with the A16 chipset. While this variant outperforms the A14 found in the 2022 iPad, it is limited in capabilities and RAM, lacking the advanced features offered by Apple’s AI. In contrast, Samsung’s Galaxy AI is integrated into its Tab S10 FE line, giving it an edge in certain aspects of artificial intelligence functionalities.
