Salman Khan and Kamal Haasan to Collaborate in Atlee’s Next Film
In an exciting development for fans of Indian cinema, Salman Khan and Kamal Haasan are set to star in a new film directed by Atlee. This much-anticipated action movie is expected to begin shooting in January 2025, with pre-production gearing up as early as October 2024. As per reports from Pinkvilla, both actors are expected to finalize their roles upon receiving the complete storyline later this month. Given Atlee’s reputation for assembling stellar casts, this project is likely to generate significant buzz within the industry.
While preparations for the new film are unfolding, Salman Khan is also generating attention with his upcoming action drama titled Sikandar, which is helmed by AR Murugadoss and features Rashmika Mandanna in the leading role. The film was officially announced during Eid and is set to premiere next Eid. Despite recently sustaining a rib injury, Salman has returned to the set, with images of him working—despite the pain—circulating widely on social media.
Sources indicate that the production team is constructing an intricate set that represents the locales of Dharavi and Matunga, with an estimated budget exceeding Rs 15 crore. The filming will take place over a span of 45 days before the crew moves to a palace setting in Hyderabad for subsequent production stages. Salman’s dedication to his role is evident as he continues to push through his injury while on set.
Additionally, reports suggest that Salman’s character in Sikandar will exude a sense of arrogance, fitting the persona of a ‘Sikandar’ hailing from a noble family. This portrayal of a ‘bad boy’ is expected to resonate with audiences, drawing parallels to Salman’s popular role in Sultan.
Recently, Salman Khan was seen at a Mumbai event, where numerous videos featuring the star quickly gained traction online. One particular clip raised some concerns among fans, showing Salman having difficulty rising from his seat and needing to lean on the sofa for support before standing to greet actress Sonali Bendre, who was also in attendance. This appearance comes in the wake of his ongoing recovery from rib injuries and other health issues, showcasing his commitment to maintaining his public presence despite personal challenges.
