Salman Khan back on the sets of Sikandar

Pinkvilla has reported that the production team is busy creating a detailed set to depict Dharavi and Matunga

Salman Khan is in the spotlight for his forthcoming action drama, Sikandar, featuring Rashmika Mandanna as the lead actress. The film was announced during this year’s Eid celebrations and is slated for release next year on the same festive day. Recent news from Pinkvilla reveals that Khan has resumed filming despite dealing with a rib injury.

According to Pinkvilla, the film’s production team is crafting a meticulously designed set that captures the essence of Dharavi and Matunga, with the construction budget amounting to approximately Rs 15 crore. This shooting schedule is expected to span 45 days before the cast and crew move to a palace in Hyderabad for further filming. Khan is evidently committed to his role, performing to the best of his abilities despite the discomfort from his injury.

The character portrayed by Salman Khan is reported to include elements of arrogance and reflects the characteristics typical of a ‘Sikandar’ from a noble background, marked by traits of anger and pride. Observers have noted that Salman previously embodied a ‘bad boy’ persona in a subplot in Sultan, which was well-received by fans.

Recently, Salman Khan was spotted at an event in Mumbai, where videos surfaced showing him in a visibly uncomfortable state. In one clip that gained significant attention, he struggled momentarily to rise from his seat, relying on the back of the sofa for support before greeting actress Sonali Bendre. His appearance at the event, despite his recent rib injury, has raised concerns among his admirers.

Sikandar marks the noteworthy return of AR Murugadoss to Hindi cinema after an eight-year break since his last film, Akira (2016). This project also signifies a reunion for Salman Khan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who have previously collaborated on successful films like Kick, Judwaa, and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.
