Salman Khan Postpones UK Concerts Following Pahalgam Terror Attack

Salman Khan, the renowned Bollywood actor, has declared the postponement of his highly anticipated concerts, ‘The Big Bollywood One,’ originally set to occur in the UK on May 4 and 5. This decision comes in response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, which has left the nation in mourning.

The concert was expected to be a star-studded event, featuring notable artists such as Madhuri Dixit, Varun Dhawan, Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon, and Disha Patani. In a heartfelt message shared via his Instagram account, Khan expressed his sorrow over the tragic circumstances and emphasized the importance of pausing during this period of national grief. He assured fans that new dates for the concerts would be communicated soon.

In his social media update, Khan included a poster for ‘The Big Bollywood One’ UK Tour, showcasing a lineup that also featured Sara Ali Khan, Sunil Grover, and Maniesh Paul, along with an overlay that read ‘Postponed.’ In his caption, he articulated the difficulty of the decision, stating, “In light of the recent tragic events in Kashmir, and with profound sadness, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone The Bollywood Big One shows, originally scheduled for May 4th and 5th in Manchester and London.”

He further acknowledged the anticipation surrounding the performances but reiterated the necessity to pause, saying, “We feel it is only right to pause during this time of grief.”

Khan extended his apologies for any disappointment the postponement may cause and expressed gratitude for the fans’ understanding. He assured that new dates for the shows are forthcoming.

On April 22, a tragic attack in Baisaran Valley near Pahalgam resulted in the deaths of around 26 individuals, marking the most lethal incident in the region since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.

The repercussions of this attack have extended beyond Khan’s concert. Both singers Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal have also canceled performances in light of the incident. Ghoshal announced the cancellation of her concert in Surat, part of her All Hearts Tour, while Singh withdrew from his scheduled concert in Chennai on April 27.
