The Hindi film industry is in mourning following the death of legendary actor Manoj Kumar, who passed away on April 4, 2025. Known affectionately as ‘Bharat Kumar,’ Kumar’s impact on cinema was profound. Just hours after fellow actor Aamir Khan shared his condolences, Salman Khan took to social media to honor the late actor.
Salman called Manoj Kumar a “true legend,” expressing his gratitude for the legacy Kumar left behind. His heartfelt message on X read: “Manoj Kumar Ji… a true legend. Thank you for the unforgettable films and memories (sic).” The complete post can be found below:

Earlier in the day, Aamir Khan also paid tribute to Manoj Kumar, stating, “Manoj Kumar was not just an actor and filmmaker; he was an institution. I have learnt so much watching his films. His focus on significant social themes brought him closer to the common man. My heartfelt condolences to his family,” he remarked.
At the time of his passing, Manoj Kumar was 87 years old and had been receiving treatment for various health conditions. He breathed his last at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. His son, Kunal Goswami, released a statement confirming that Kumar passed away peacefully. “He has had health-related issues for a long time. It’s the grace of God that he bid adieu to this world peacefully. His cremation will take place tomorrow,” he informed ANI.
