Honey Singh, celebrated for his dynamic voice and rap style across numerous Bollywood songs, shared insights into this collaboration during his recent Netflix documentary, Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous. In the documentary, he recounted the moment he received a request from Salman, who was looking for a vibrant rap segment to elevate the energy of the song.
Reflecting on that pivotal moment, Honey stated, “Salman Khan sent me this song and wanted me to rap for it. He was filming the song in two days, and I had this golden opportunity.” This collaboration unfolded in a compelling manner, as the documentary depicts Honey listening to the track and recognizing the potential for a rap addition.
He noted, “We need to create a rap for the song,” showcasing the collaborative spirit with his team to develop lyrics on the fly. Salman Khan elaborated on this partnership, mentioning, “While I was shooting for Bhaijaan in Hyderabad, I thought about Honey. He went to the studio, and within half an hour, he had finished the rap. I then invited him to join us in the song. It’s a fun and lively track for kids.”
