Currently on his Unfiltered: North America Tour 2025, Samay Raina performed at Seattle’s Moore Theatre over the weekend.
Stand-up comedian Samay Raina, known for his rise to fame through the reality show India’s Got Latent, continues to draw attention despite facing scrutiny over his controversial remarks made during the series. A recent post on social media captures him deep in thought while playing chess, illustrating his unflustered demeanor amidst the ongoing backlash.
Over the weekend, Raina entertained audiences at Seattle’s Moore Theatre as part of his Unfiltered: North America Tour 2025. The historic venue, well-known for hosting Jo Koy’s famous comedy special in 2017, welcomed Raina’s unique comedic style on Sunday night.

A striking photo shared by his friend Balraj Singh Ghai, who judges alongside Raina on the show and accompanies him on tour, shows the comedian deeply engaged in the game of chess, skillfully set up on a backstage equipment box. Ghai, who owns Ghai Hotels and Investment, is an integral part of Raina’s tour experience.
This moment of leisure comes on the heels of a police complaint registered against Raina and several fellow judges, including Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, Apoorva Makhija, and influencer Ranveer Allahbadia. The FIR claims that the show featured obscene and sexually explicit content, leading to ramifications under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The controversy erupted following troubling comments made by Allahbadia during a recent episode, where an inappropriate question about body parts was presented to a contestant, alongside an offensive proposition for a sum of Rs 2 crore. The situation intensified when he posed a provocative question regarding the audience’s comfort with watching their parents engage in sexual activities.
Legal counsel Satyam Surana expressed concern over the matter, formally filing a complaint with the Mumbai Police. Surana stated, “The video that circulated widely depicts Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia, and others making inappropriate comments. Such content offends Indian cultural values, and it is crucial that legal measures are taken to address this conduct.”
