In a continuation of its innovative approach, Samsung has introduced its latest flagship Galaxy S25, emphasizing advancements in artificial intelligence rather than significant hardware alterations. Unlike its predecessor, the S25’s changes are primarily software-based, with many enhancements stemming from the newly upgraded One UI interface.
A key feature of this software upgrade is the Personal Data Engine. Designed to gather and analyze user habits over time, One UI 7 aims to create a tailor-made experience for owners of the Galaxy S25. This customized interaction will be particularly evident in two novel features: Now Brief and Now Bar. Now Brief offers daily summaries tailored to the user, providing relevant information such as the weather, upcoming events, and curated news.
Meanwhile, the Now Bar provides quick access to reminders and essential tasks directly from the lock screen or just under the digital clock when the device is in use. This feature dynamically showcases reminders like navigation directions or timers, allowing users to stay organized with less effort.

These features are designed with convenience in mind, aiming to minimize the need for users to repeatedly switch between applications. Samsung emphasizes that all information collected through the Personal Data Engine is securely stored within the S25’s Knox Vault security system, ensuring privacy.
The Galaxy S25 also benefits from a series of interlinked features, categorized by Samsung as AI agents. Powered by sophisticated machine learning, these agents can analyze various forms of content, including images, audio, and text. They can be accessed mainly through the Samsung sidebar.
One of the standout features in this category is AI Select. This tool builds upon the capabilities of the previous Smart Select function, and when activated, it scans the screen to provide relevant options based on what it detects. For instance, while watching a video on YouTube, AI Select might offer to create a GIF directly, streamlining what would otherwise require multiple steps across different applications.
Furthermore, Samsung has refined existing AI functionalities, with notable improvements to the previously established Sketch to Image, now rebranded as Drawing Assist, which enhances its accuracy and allows users to import existing images for better results.
Additionally, the Galaxy S25 will feature a more robust version of Circle to Search. This functionality allows users to access Google Search seamlessly, initiating by a long press of the Home button. With updates, this feature can now identify phone numbers, emails, and URLs, providing quick actions like calling or emailing with a single tap. Moreover, Circle to Search now incorporates Google’s AI Overviews.
These features will soon be available not just on Samsung devices, but also rolled out across various Android platforms as Google expands its functionalities.
