Samsung is set to unveil its latest Galaxy S series smartphones at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event. Scheduled for Wednesday, this launch will introduce the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. These models are expected to feature the new One UI 7 interface, which is built on Android 15, right out of the box. In addition, Samsung has shared the timeline for the stable rollout of the One UI 7 software update for other devices.
Timeline for One UI 7 Update Release
In a recent press release, Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy S25 series would be the pioneers to feature the stable version of the Android 15-based One UI 7 skin. This means that along with the new Galaxy S series, older models will gradually receive updates to incorporate Android 15 and the refreshed interface.
The company notes that the stable One UI 7 update will be distributed “sequentially” to a variety of existing Galaxy devices, which include both smartphones and tablets. According to Samsung, the updated version has been enhanced by integrating feedback obtained from beta testing programs.
Samsung aims to roll out this update to eligible devices by the first quarter of 2025, targeting completion by the end of March. Historically, it seems that the Galaxy S24 series is poised to be the first to receive the One UI 7 update, consistent with Samsung’s previous rollout strategies.
Earlier this month, Samsung launched One UI 7 Beta 3 for select Galaxy smartphone users, introducing improvements, including quicker fingerprint recognition for Galaxy S24 series users. It is worth noting that these devices are equipped with advanced ultrasonic fingerprint sensors.
In anticipation of the new Galaxy S series, pre-reservations are currently available in India. Customers who opt for pre-reservation can take advantage of significant discounts and additional perks. The Galaxy S25 lineup is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipsets along with 12GB of RAM, promising enhanced performance and user experience.
