Reports indicate that Samsung’s One UI 7 update may soon enter the beta testing phase, potentially becoming available for selected testers in the upcoming weeks. This new iteration is set to build upon Android 15, which has yet to be released for Google’s Pixel devices, following the previous version, One UI 6, that was based on Android 14. While Samsung has not officially detailed the enhancements in the forthcoming update, an announcement or demonstration is anticipated during the upcoming developer conference scheduled for next month.

Testing of One UI 7 by Samsung’s Subsidiaries

A recent report from SamMobile suggests that various local subsidiaries of Samsung are already in the process of testing the One UI 7 beta update. This indicates that the company is likely poised to roll out the beta version through its established testing program shortly. Within this update, Samsung is expected to integrate several user interface enhancements and further extend its focus on artificial intelligence by incorporating new AI features into suitable devices.

According to the publication, Samsung has been conducting tests of the One UI 7 beta in multiple countries, including China, Germany, India, Poland, South Korea, the UK, and the US. The company seems to be expanding its testing reach this year, as reports suggest trials are taking place in additional regions as well.

Anticipated Timeline for One UI 7 Launch

While Samsung has yet to confirm specifics about the One UI 7 update, the company is preparing for its annual Samsung Developer Conference 2024 (SDC24), which will occur on October 3 in San Jose, California. This event often serves as the platform for Samsung to preview the next generation of its Android smartphone interface, leading to speculation that One UI 7 may debut later in October.

The rollout of One UI 7 is expected to reach a variety of Samsung smartphones and tablets, though the timeline for the updates will vary based on the series and initial launch dates of the devices. Typically, the latest models from the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series are prioritized for the update before older models are addressed. Subsequently, devices from the Galaxy A, Galaxy M, Galaxy F, and Galaxy C series are likely to receive the update after the flagship models have been upgraded.
