Samsung Resumes One UI 7 Rollout for Galaxy S24 Series
After a lengthy wait marked by multiple beta testing phases and a previous halted rollout, Samsung has once again initiated the distribution of One UI 7, which is based on Android 15. This time, the rollout targets users of the Galaxy S24 series, beginning in Samsung’s home market of South Korea.
The new BYD9 build has been made available, as noted by Tarun Vats. While the rollout launches in South Korea, it is anticipated that it will expand to additional regions, including India, the European Union, and the United States, provided there are no critical issues detected during this phase.
However, caution is warranted as the rollout progresses. Past experiences have shown that software deployments are often paused due to undiscovered bugs, a situation Samsung faced previously with this particular update. Notably, users testing the BYD9 build on a Galaxy S24 Ultra have reported lingering issues with the lock screen animation. This bug had previously been cited as a key reason for the original suspension of the rollout, according to leaker Ice Universe.
As the situation unfolds, there is hope that the current issues are not significant enough to prompt another halt. The potential for yet another delay would undoubtedly disappoint users eagerly awaiting the enhancements promised by One UI 7.
