Samsung Halts One UI 7 Update Amid Bug Reports
Unexpected delays have marked the rollout of Samsung’s One UI 7 update. Although some devices in the S24 series across South Korea and Europe received the update recently, reports indicate that the download is currently unavailable for users.
In a surprising move, Samsung has pulled the firmware update from its over-the-air (OTA) servers without providing any public explanation. According to well-known leakster Ice Universe, the company identified multiple bugs affecting devices that had already received the One UI 7 update. Notably, some users encountered issues where their phones could not be unlocked as intended. Additionally, SamMobile highlighted a serious flaw within Samsung’s Secure Folder, which reportedly exposes the contents of users’ Galleries, raising significant security concerns.
In light of these issues, Samsung has decided to suspend the One UI 7 update globally for various devices, including the entirety of the Galaxy S24 series, as well as the Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 foldable models. This development suggests that the update schedule previously communicated could undergo further adjustments. As the situation unfolds, we will monitor any advancements and provide updates as necessary.
