Tony Award winners Sarah Paulson and Wendell Pierce are set to announce the nominations for The 78th Annual Tony Awards. The announcements will take place live from the Sofitel New York, streamed on the official Tony Awards YouTube channel at 9 AM ET. Additionally, select categories will be disclosed during a live segment on CBS Mornings at 8:30 AM ET.
This year’s Tony Awards will be hosted at the iconic Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The event, which will span from 8:00 to 11:00 PM ET (5:00 to 8:00 PM PT), will be led by the multi-talented Cynthia Erivo, a Tony, Emmy, and GRAMMY Award winner, as well as a three-time Academy Award nominee. The awards ceremony will be broadcast live on the CBS Television Network and will also be available for streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S. on Sunday, June 8, 2025.
A limited number of tickets for the awards show are now available for purchase by the public. Ticket prices begin at $595 for seats located in the second and third mezzanines, and they can be purchased through TonyAwards.com and Ticketmaster.com. There is a limit of six tickets per buyer, and all sales are final, with applicable Ticketmaster service charges.
The Tony Awards are a collaborative production involving Tony Award Productions—comprised of the American Theatre Wing, The Broadway League, and White Cherry Entertainment. The event is executive produced and showrun by Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss, with Weiss also taking on the role of director.

Sarah Paulson, an accomplished actress recognized for her work across film, television, and theater, has garnered accolades for her performance in Broadway’s hit play Appropriate. In 2024, she received a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play for her role as Toni Lafayette in this critically acclaimed dark comedy by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, which was celebrated and transferred to an extended run at The Belasco Theatre. Paulson’s performance also earned her The Drama League Award and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Lead Performance in a Play.
Looking ahead, Paulson will feature prominently in Hulu’s forthcoming series All’s Fair, created by Ryan Murphy. This highly anticipated legal drama will star other notable actors such as Glenn Close and Naomi Watts and is expected to premiere in Fall 2025. Additionally, she will reprise her role in the film adaptation of Bruce Norris’ award-winning play Clybourne Park.
Wendell Pierce has cultivated a rich career as an award-winning actor spanning over thirty years across stage, television, and film. Currently, he is captivating audiences as Captain C.W. Wagner in the second season of CBS’s praised series ELSBETH.
Pierce is widely acclaimed for his iconic portrayal of Det. Bunk Moreland in HBO’s landmark series The Wire and has further distinguished himself in the role of Antoine Baptiste in the critically celebrated series Tremé. His other credits include a guest appearance in Fox’s anthology series Accused, portraying James Greer in “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” alongside John Krasinski, and playing Snaps in Starz’s Raising Kanan.
Returning to Broadway in 2022, Pierce reprised his role as Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman, earning a Tony Award nomination for Best Leading Actor in a Play. His Broadway debut was as Boy Willie in August Wilson’s Piano Lesson, and his extensive theater resume includes works such as Carol Churchill’s Serious Money, John Pielmeier’s Boys of Winter, and numerous performances in productions such as Cost of Living, Brokeology, Cymbeline, and Waiting for Godot.
