Former reality television star Sean Lowe is facing the aftermath of a harrowing dog attack, leaving him with visible injuries and emotional scars. The public has rallied around Sean as he navigates this difficult experience.

In a heartfelt post, Sean’s wife, Catherine Giudici, expressed her support by sharing a picture of Sean and their daughter Mia. Sean’s injuries are a stark reminder of what unfolded. While reaching for Mia, he exhibited fresh bite marks from their dog, Moose.

On March 17, Sean provided an emotional update to his followers through a video on Instagram, where Catherine was by his side. He detailed the shock of being attacked by Moose not once, but twice within hours.

“Our family has been through it the last few days, but we’ll be okay. Thank you to everyone for the support. We’re very grateful,” he said in the caption accompanying the video.

Initially hesitant to share the traumatic experience, Sean felt compelled to clarify what happened, given his frequent posts featuring Moose and family moments. He recounted the day of the incident, which began normally as he barbecued at home while Catherine was out with the children.

As smoke from the barbecue set off the smoke alarms, Sean attempted to wave away the smoke, inadvertently attracting Moose’s attention. While trying to fan the smoke, the dog nipped his finger, marking the beginning of an alarming escalation in behavior.

“I don’t mean a playful bite — he attacked me,” Sean recalled, describing how he felt Moose clamp down on his arm, causing significant injury. In a panic, he struggled to defend himself, fearing for his safety.

After managing to separate Moose momentarily, the situation worsened when the dog returned, prompting Sean to feel as though he was confronting a life-or-death struggle against an animal he once trusted. The emotional shock was profound, considering Moose had just been relaxed and affectionate hours earlier.

Sean described the severity of his injuries, noting the considerable blood loss, which led him to believe he might have damaged an artery. With the help of friends, he went to the hospital for treatment.

In the wake of the attack, Sean made the heartbreaking decision to arrange for Moose’s removal from their home as a precaution for his family’s safety, especially for their young children. However, before this could be executed, Moose charged at Sean again when his parents came to pick up the kids.

“Experiencing a dog attack is incredibly traumatic,” Sean reflected, “especially having to relive it just hours later.” Following this second attack, police were called to remove Moose, and Sean returned to the hospital for further treatment.

In the video, Sean expressed empathy towards Moose, suggesting that the dog may have suffered past trauma that contributed to his sudden aggression. The couple adopted Moose as a gift for their children, and Sean believes the animal’s behavior stems from deep-rooted issues, making the situation even more complicated.
