HOSHI and WOOZI of SEVENTEEN Unite for New Single Album “Beam”

Core members of the popular K-pop boy band SEVENTEEN, WOOZI, who leads the vocal unit and contributes as a producer, along with HOSHI, the performance unit leader and a versatile dancer/rapper, have collaborated to release their inaugural single album titled Beam. This three-track EP, emerging from the dynamic duo known as HOSHI X WOOZI, was unveiled on March 10, aligning perfectly as a follow-up to their earlier work “Bring It,” which was a B-side from SEVENTEEN’s 2017 studio album, Teen, Age.

The EP begins with the sultry track “PINOCCHIO,” a ballad characterized by its whispery tones reminiscent of Billie Eilish, featuring contributions from SE SO NEON’s SO!YoON!. This track seamlessly transitions into the energetic lead single “96ers,” where a blend of upbeat boy band pop and hip-hop elements sets the mood. The accompanying music video showcases HOSHI and WOOZI in a chic gallery environment, portraying themselves as living art pieces while reminiscing about their childhood friendship, highlighting their journey from “runny-nosed kids” in middle school to seasoned performers.

“I’ve been very close with WOOZI since we were kids,” HOSHI expressed in a statement. “We’ve always envisioned working together as a duo, and finally being able to share BEAM with everyone is thrilling. This album genuinely captures the music we aspire to create, and we intend to enjoy every moment on stage.”

WOOZI reflected on the collaboration, noting, “Releasing a new album with my closest friend has been a remarkable experience. We had a great time creating this music, and I believe that the enthusiasm we shared is what makes this album feel authentic and true to ourselves.”

The EP concludes with another infectious dance anthem titled “Stupid Idiot,” sure to resonate with fans and energize any dance floor.

This year marks a significant milestone for SEVENTEEN, celebrating their 10th anniversary. The group, which also includes members S.COUPS, JEONGHAN, JOSHUA, JUN, WONWOO, THE 8, MINGYU, DK, SEUNGKWAN, VERNON, and DINO, previously released “Bad Influence,” a collaboration with Pharrell Williams featured in the Louis Vuitton 2025 Paris men’s show earlier this year. Last year saw the release of their extensive 21-track greatest hits collection, 17 Is Right Here, followed by the EP Spill the Feels in November.
