Severance actress Jen Tullock is making her Off-Broadway debut this fall in the play Nothing Can Take You from the Hand of God, a solo performance she co-created with Frank Winters, as reported by MSN.

Scheduled to take the stage at Playwrights Horizons in October 2025, this engaging piece focuses on a queer memoirist as she revisits her deeply religious hometown.

Tullock’s performance will feature her portraying multiple characters, including a caped Polish child, a formidable literary agent, a youthful preacher, and the memoirist’s mother. The production creatively intertwines live action with pre-recorded video, under the direction of Jared Mezzocchi.

In addition to her role as Devon on Apple TV+’s Severance, Tullock has appeared in HBO’s Perry Mason and co-written the film Before You Know It, which had its debut at the Sundance Film Festival. Her past solo performances have been showcased in both Chicago and New York City.

Reflecting on the project, Tullock stated, “This piece is my most authentic examination of spiritual trauma. No one walks away unscathed—myself included—and media serves not just as a tool, but as a crucial character within the narrative.”

This production is part of Playwrights Horizons’ upcoming fall 2025 lineup, which emphasizes themes around distorted truths and collective delusion. The season also features Practice by Nazareth Hassan, a comedic take on independent thinkers being influenced by a charismatic leader. Additional productions will be announced for the Winter/Spring 2026 season.
