This spring, two prominent artists from the burgeoning music scene have collaborated on a new single that’s generating buzz.
Shaboozey, a five-time Grammy nominee, has teamed up with Myles Smith, who recently won the Brit Award, for the track titled “Blink Twice.” This lively song features an engaging blend of folk influences, characterized by bright finger-picked guitars, driving percussion, and energetic clapping. The catchy chorus captures the essence of the song: “Oh me, oh my, would you look in my eyes/ We’ll laugh or cry just to feel alive/ Oh-woah-woah, no time for living a lie/ Oh-woah-woah, time flies, so don’t blink twice.” Accompanying the release is a poignant music video that matches the song’s emotional depth.
“Blink Twice” is a significant addition to Shaboozey’s discography, serving as his first release after a remarkably successful year. Notably, he contributed to Beyoncé’s Grammy-winning album Cowboy Carter and achieved a record-breaking milestone with his hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” which made history by remaining on the Billboard Hot 100 for 17 weeks, securing the No. 1 spot. Even as “A Bar Song” continues to resonate, holding at No. 4 on the chart dated April 12, his recent track “Good News” is currently at No. 51 after peaking at No. 47.

Myles Smith, honored with the Brit Rising Star Award just last month, is also making waves on the Hot 100 with his single “Stargazing,” which reached No. 19 and enjoyed a week at the top of the Pop Airplay chart. Earlier in the year, he collaborated with Lainey Wilson on “Nice to Meet You,” which garnered attention by climbing to No. 13 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart.
Looking ahead, Shaboozey is set to perform at major music festivals including Coachella and Stagecoach this month, further solidifying his status as a key figure in contemporary music.
