Shakira Achieves First No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Tours Chart

Shakira has made a significant mark on the music scene, debuting at the top of Billboard’s monthly Top Tours chart for the first time, accumulating an impressive $32.9 million from the sale of 282,000 tickets in February, as per data from Billboard Boxscore.

The recent Top Tours rankings have seen a trend of established acts dominating the charts. For example, P!nk claimed her fourth crown in October, followed by Coldplay achieving their fifth in November. The Trans-Siberian Orchestra also marked their fifth time in December, with Coldplay returning to reclaim the top spot in January.

In a notable achievement, Shakira becomes the first solo female Latin artist to secure the No. 1 position on this chart, joining the ranks of Latin music icons like Bad Bunny, Los Bukis, and RBD.

This month not only marks Shakira’s inaugural appearance at No. 1, but it also denotes her debut on the 30-position chart. The very first edition of this tally was centered on the major tours of February 2019, occurring shortly after the conclusion of her El Dorado World Tour in 2018.

Kicking off her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour on February 11 at Rio de Janeiro’s Estadio Nilton Santos, Shakira grossed $2.9 million with an audience of 35,200. Her momentum grew throughout the month, with earnings reaching $6.4 million in Sao Paulo on February 13, escalating to $11.3 million in Atlantico, Colombia on February 20 and 21, and culminating at $12.3 million during a duo of performances in Bogota on February 26 and 27. These Colombian shows ranked third and sixth in Top Boxscores respectively.

Over nearly three decades, Shakira has consistently filled arenas and has begun to challenge stadium capacities. In her 2025 tour, she is stepping up to primarily major market stadiums for the first time. Historically, her shows in Latin America have averaged between $1 million and $1.5 million per night, but her February performances boasted an average of $5.5 million, drawing around 47,000 attendees each night.

Continuing her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, Shakira is set to perform in Mexico, Chile, and return to Colombia through April, before heading to the United States and Canada until the end of June. The tour, including two rescheduled shows in Lima, Peru in November, is projected to exceed $200 million in total earnings, potentially tripling her career revenue by late 2025.

Tyler, the Creator Makes Major Strides in Top Tours

In the second slot on Top Tours, Tyler, the Creator has made a notable debut with the initial shows from Chromakopia: The World Tour. This represents his highest ranking thus far, surpassing previous appearances, including a placement at No. 10 in March 2022.

Throughout February, Tyler grossed $29 million over 14 performances, selling 188,000 tickets. This tour marks a continuation of his ascent in the realm of headliners, with average nightly earnings of $2.1 million, which shows a substantial increase from past tours.

Tyler’s impressive growth trajectory indicates nearly a fifty-fold increase in his per-show revenue in less than ten years. March presents an even busier schedule with 17 shows planned, followed by international dates across Europe, North America, and Asia before September ends.

Diversity Among February’s Top Earners

The highest-grossing concerts in February are a mix of genres, showcasing an array of talent within the country, Latin, pop, rap, and rock categories. This diversity is evident even within specific genres, with both ATEEZ (ranked No. 7) and Ed Sheeran (No. 8) offering different perspectives, while generational gaps are highlighted with the Eagles (No. 5) and Linkin Park (No. 9) represented.

Venue Rankings Showcase Global Reach

The top venues for the month span the globe, with Mexico City and Australia sharing the spotlight. Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez secured the top stadium ranking thanks to Electric Daisy Carnival’s robust $20.9 million gross from February 21-23. Meanwhile, Auditorio Nacional led the Top Venues category (5,001-10,000 capacity) after hosting 22 shows throughout the month.

In Australia, Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena topped the list for venues with a capacity above 15,001, benefiting from the success of both Drake and Billie Eilish, while Brisbane Entertainment Center took the lead in the 10,001-15,000 category with $17.2 million from 13 performances.

AEG Presents emerged as the dominant promoter in February, generating $201.8 million from approximately 687 shows and selling just under two million tickets, backed by significant tours from artists like Tyler, the Creator, Kylie Minogue, and Kelsea Ballerini.
