Sharon Stone Opens Up About Being Ousted from Another Simple Favor
Sharon Stone has made waves with her recent comments regarding her removal from the cast of the upcoming film, Another Simple Favor, featuring Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick. In a surprising turn of events, Stone stated that she was dismissed from her role “without any reason.” This revelation sheds light on the film’s backdrop, which has been marred by rumors and controversies, particularly concerning reported tensions between the lead actresses, Lively and Kendrick.
Stone’s remarks contribute to the ongoing narrative surrounding the film, which acts as a sequel to A Simple Favor. The original film already experienced its share of drama, and the latest comments add another layer of intrigue. Previously, these claims about her ouster were not publicly discussed.
Although Stone refrained from naming specific individuals, her comment was posted in response to an E! News video discussing the apparent discord between Lively and Kendrick. She wrote, “I LOVED being cast and removed from my role unexpectedly for no reason at all LOVED it (sic).” This cryptic remark hints at a backstory that has yet to be fully revealed.
Director Paul Feig addressed the swirling rumors when he responded to a fan’s assertion on X, which suggested Lively was anxious about attending the film’s premiere due to an alleged rift with Kendrick. Feig succinctly countered the claim by stating, “Um … you’re wrong,” thus attempting to quash gossip about any ongoing disputes between the stars.
As the film approaches its release on Prime Video on May 1, details about its production are coming to light. Written by Jessica Sharzer and Laeta Kalogridis, and produced by Feig alongside Laura Fischer, Another Simple Favor boasts cinematography by John Schwartzman and a score by Theodore Shapiro.
On a separate note, Anna Kendrick has recently gained attention for directing and starring in Woman of the Hour. Blake Lively, meanwhile, appeared in It Ends With Us, a project that has also attracted media scrutiny. Lively’s legal battles have made headlines, particularly her lawsuit against co-star Justin Baldoni, citing claims of “severe emotional distress,” “mental anguish,” and “financial losses.” Recent developments indicate that Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, have secured a confidentiality order to safeguard sensitive information related to this case.
