On a recent outing in Mumbai, actress Sherlyn Chopra experienced an unsettling incident while participating in the Holi festivities. As she emerged from her building, she was approached by a large group of male fans who then attempted to take selfies with her against her wishes. A video capturing the moment circulated widely on social media.
Clearly uncomfortable, Sherlyn expressed her frustration, stating, “Ek second, don’t touch me. Arey? Don’t touch me, I am saying.” Despite her plea, the crowd continued to invade her personal space, prompting her to seek assistance from nearby security personnel, exclaiming, “Sir dekhiye kya ho raha hai yahan par. Dekhiye. Itne pass aa rahe hai.” Watch the video here:
This event is reminiscent of other recent instances where celebrities have faced difficulties with crowds. Just last month, model and actress Poonam Pandey found herself in a similarly shocking situation while speaking to photographers. A fan unexpectedly approached her from behind, ostensibly to take a selfie, but then leaned in to attempt an unwanted kiss, catching Poonam and those present off guard.
Reacting swiftly, Poonam pushed the fan away upon realizing his intentions, and the swarm of paparazzi quickly intervened to reprimand the fan for his inappropriate behavior.
Sherlyn Chopra first gained widespread attention in 2012 when she became the first Indian woman to pose for Playboy magazine, sparking considerable public interest and debate. Her career in Bollywood began in the early 2000s, and she has appeared in various films, including “Time Pass” (2005), “Dosti: Friends Forever” (2005), and “Raqeeb” (2007). Additionally, she has participated in multiple reality television shows, such as “Bigg Boss” Season 3 in 2009.
