On February 26, Mahashivratri was celebrated nationwide as devotees participated in various rituals dedicated to Lord Shiva, hoping to receive blessings for well-being and prosperity. The festival attracted notable attention in Bollywood as celebrities joined in the festivities. Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor hosted a puja at their residence, inviting several prominent figures from the film industry to join the celebrations. Shilpa Shetty was among the guests, making a stylish entrance to mark the occasion with friends and fellow actors.
Showing her flair for fashion, Shilpa Shetty arrived in a vibrant pink and orange ethnic outfit that captured attention immediately. Emphasizing simplicity, she chose to forgo elaborate designs and heavy jewelry, opting instead for a minimalistic yet striking appearance, completed with a chic small orange sling bag.
Earlier in the day, Shilpa engaged in personal rituals at her own home, providing a peek into her celebrations through a video shared on social media. In the footage, she could be seen performing puja with a small Shivling, chanting mantras with sincerity. For the morning ritual, she wore an elegant yellow suit, reflecting a spirit of intimacy and devotion. In her post, she expressed her joy, captioning it, “Har Har Mahadev… Happy Shivratri,” aiming to spread positive vibes on this significant day.
Festivals are treasured by Shilpa, who prioritizes family celebrations. Earlier this year, she celebrated Lohri in a traditional way, sharing a touching video featuring her husband, Raj Kundra, their son Viaan, daughter Samisha, and her mother, Sunanda Shetty. The family gathered around a bonfire for the traditional prayers and offerings. In the video, Shilpa was seen guiding her son through the rituals, while Raj assisted little Samisha. The family, dressed in traditional attire, embraced the festive spirit as they danced, enjoying the lively atmosphere.
“Happpyyyyy Lohri! May this festive season ignite new hopes, dreams, and opportunities in your life and all the negativity perish in this bonfire. May this special day fill our hearts with joy and gratitude,” Shilpa wrote alongside the video, showcasing her enthusiasm for the festival.
In her recent projects, Shilpa Shetty appeared in Rohit Shetty’s action thriller series Indian Police Force, where she portrayed Tara Shetty alongside actors Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi. Looking ahead, she is gearing up for her role in the Kannada film KD – The Devil, sharing the screen with Dhruva Sarja and Sanjay Dutt.
