Béis founder Shay Mitchell expressed her belief in the enchanting nature of travel, emphasizing the collaboration with Wicked to amplify this sentiment. “We aimed to create items that bring a sprinkle of magic to every trip,” she commented during the unveiling of this partnership on October 2.
The Béis x Wicked collection is set to launch on October 9 at 9 a.m. PT on the brand’s digital platform. This line introduces four distinct styles: the Wicked Weekender, Wicked Tote bags, a Wicked Backpack, and a Wicked Toiletry Kit, available in a spectrum of colors, including a vibrant green and a pink hue with an iridescent ombre effect, alongside a timeless black option.
With prices ranging from $68 to $378, the collection features two bubble-themed versions of Béis’ popular Rollers in an ombre design, along with a new key leash, card wallet, mirror, and removable Wicked-themed charms.
Wicked, a film adaptation of the acclaimed musical, boasts a star-studded cast including Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, Peter Dinklage, and Jeff Goldblum. Directed by Jon M. Chu, the narrative explores the backstory of the unlikely friendship between Glinda the Good Witch and Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West.
Grande recently shared her thoughts on portraying Glinda in an interview with Vogue, stating, “While we acknowledge the legacy of Glindas who came before, our interpretation is about making the character uniquely ours.”
Reflecting on her evolution for the role, Grande noted, “My public persona is quite distinct. Engaging with beauty helped me unveil the essence of Glinda within me. I adore the color pink now; it feels intrinsically connected to my identity.”
As fans await the film’s release on November 22, they can explore a range of Wicked-themed merchandise, including collaborations with r.e.m. beauty, OPI, H&M, and even Wicked Lego sets, dolls, games, and Funko Pop! figurines.
