Shruti Haasan criticized IndiGo for a four-hour flight delay

Indian actress Shruti Haasan has publicly expressed her frustration with IndiGo Airlines following a significant delay of four hours for her flight. Haasan reported that passengers, including herself, were left without any updates or communication from the airline during this extensive wait at the airport. Taking to social media, Haasan voiced her concerns about the lack of information.

In her post on X, formerly Twitter, Haasan called out IndiGo for their poor handling of the situation, stating, “Hey I’m not one to normally complain but @IndiGo6E you guys really outdid yourself with the chaos today. We’ve been stranded in the airport with no information for the past four hours – maybe figure a better way for your passengers, please? Information, courtesy, and clarity.”

Haasan’s tweet quickly gained traction, with many users resonating with her frustrations and sharing their own experiences regarding customer service issues with IndiGo. The actor’s call for better communication sparked further discussion online.

In response to the criticism, IndiGo acknowledged the delay, attributing it to adverse weather conditions in Mumbai that affected the arrival of their aircraft. The airline’s response included an apology, stating, “Ms. Haasan, we sincerely regret the inconvenience caused by the flight delay. We fully understand how inconvenient extended wait times can be.”

The airline further assured passengers that they were striving to provide assistance during the wait, emphasizing that the circumstances were out of their control.

We hope you understand that these factors are beyond our control, and we assure you that our airport team is doing their utmost to assist customers and ensure their comfort. ~Team IndiGo (2/2)— IndiGo (@IndiGo6E) October 10, 2024

IndiGo concluded their response by reiterating their commitment to customer service and comfort during difficult circumstances.

On her professional front, Shruti Haasan was recently seen in the film “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire,” featuring notable actors including Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. She is currently working on projects including “Dacoit: A Love Story” and “Coolie,” where she will star alongside legendary actor Rajinikanth, as well as “Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam.”
