In a distressing incident early Saturday morning, two siblings were hospitalized after a stabbing incident occurred at a beach in Santa Monica.

On Sunday, one of the victims, who preferred to remain anonymous, spoke with KTLA, sharing her experience and appealing for assistance in identifying the suspects involved.

The 28-year-old sister recounted that she and her 24-year-old brother, along with his girlfriend and two of her friends, had decided to visit the beach late at night. The group intended to enjoy a quiet evening by dipping their toes in the water.

Around 1 a.m., they approached the beach when they noticed two men on the boardwalk, seemingly engaged in drinking and riding scooters. Although the sister found their behavior suspicious, they proceeded with their plans.

However, the encounter soon took a troubling turn, as the two men began to approach them more aggressively. Initially, they engaged in verbal harassment, which prompted her brother to step in to protect his sister, his girlfriend, and their friends.

The situation escalated rapidly when the men brandished pocket knives and threatened the group. According to the sister, she and others were able to capture some footage of the suspects, which she later shared with KTLA.

Despite her pleas for the men to leave them alone, the confrontation escalated further. The assailants lunged at both her and her brother with their knives.

In a perilous attempt to escape, the siblings managed to flee toward the parking lot in a bid to reach their car. Local police received reports of the stabbing incident at approximately 2:26 a.m. in the 1700 block of Ocean Front Walk.

Upon their arrival, authorities found the two victims with multiple stab wounds. While the specifics of their injuries were not immediately disclosed, the sister revealed she had sustained four stab wounds, including injuries to her head, back, and under her armpit, while her brother suffered five stab wounds to his stomach and back.

First responders transported the victims to a nearby hospital, where the Santa Monica Police Department reported they were in stable condition as of Saturday.

On Sunday, the sister shared that she was recovering at home, while her brother remained hospitalized and was expected to stay there for about a week.

Authorities have yet to release information on the suspects or confirm any details about the footage captured by the sister.

The investigation is still active, and the police have stated they will provide updates as more information becomes available.
