Las Vegas Set to Host Diverse Music Festivals in 2025
Las Vegas continues to solidify its reputation as a vibrant hub for niche music festivals. Recently, the city played host to the Best Friends Forever festival, which celebrated the resurgence of emo music from the early 2000s. This weekend, another wave of nostalgia will wash over attendees at the When We Were Young festival, highlighting the pop-punk sounds of the aughts. However, for fans craving heavier sounds adorned with dramatic aesthetics, the return of Sick New World festival on April 12, 2025, promises an unforgettable experience.
Headlining the festival will be iconic bands such as Metallica, Linkin Park, and the long-awaited return of Acid Bath, who will perform for the first time in nearly three decades. Notably, while System Of A Down has been a fixture at previous Sick New World events, they will not feature in 2025; instead, Daron Malakian’s other project, Scars On Broadway, is set to take the stage. The festival’s lineup is an impressive array of artists, including Queens of the Stone Age, Evanescence, Ministry, Refused, Underoath, Gojira, and AFI, promising a day filled with a wide spectrum of heavy music.
The return of Acid Bath holds emotional significance for fans, as it marks their first performance since the passing of bassist Audie Pitre in 1997. Coincidentally, frontman Dax Riggs has also made waves recently by unveiling plans for his first solo album in 15 years, signaling a new chapter for the artist.
For those interested in attending the Sick New World festival, ticket presales are set to begin this Friday. For further details and to purchase tickets, fans can visit the official festival website here.
