In a recent Instagram story, Sidharth posted an image of the serene backwaters, captioning it “Namaskaram Kerala.” Directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Maddock Films, Param Sundari centers on a romantic narrative that bridges the cultural gap between a North Indian man, portrayed by Malhotra, and a South Indian woman, played by Kapoor. Featuring a mix of humor and unexpected developments, the setting of Kerala’s breathtaking landscapes promises to enhance the emotional depth of this unique love story.
As described by Dinesh Vijan in an interview with Variety, the film draws inspiration from classic romantic dramas, likening it to the works of acclaimed director Mani Ratnam, particularly noting films like Saathiya. He noted the film’s blend of regional cultures and highlighted intriguing character dynamics. “The kind of music it has, and Janhvi playing a South Indian is interesting. Sid’s playing a Northern Delhi boy and the conflict is very cool,” Vijan mentioned, hinting at a narrative that delves into modern themes while retaining traditional influences.
