Authorities in Scotland are intensifying efforts to locate Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, 32, who were reported missing after being captured on CCTV near a river in Aberdeen during the early hours of January 7.
These sisters, believed to be among a set of triplets, were also spotted in the area around 2:50 p.m. the day before their disappearance, according to police announcements.
The police confirmed that a text was sent from Henrietta’s phone to their landlady stating they “would not be returning” to their residence, timed perfectly with the moment they were last seen.
Two sisters who went missing two weeks ago in Scotland sent a concerning text at the time they disappeared, as reported by the police.
Police Scotland recently released an updated appeal in their ongoing search for Eliza and Henrietta Huszti. The BBC notes that the sisters are triplets, with the third sibling being their sister Edit Huszti. Their last known sighting was recorded on CCTV at Market Street close to the Victoria Bridge by the River Dee around 2:12 a.m. on January 7.
Authorities shared that at 2:12 a.m., a message was sent from Henrietta’s mobile phone to their landlady, indicating they would not return home. Following this, their phone disconnected from the network and has shown no activity since.
The following day, police were alerted by the landlady after discovering the sisters’ personal belongings still remained in their apartment.

CCTV footage from the Victoria Bridge in Aberdeen, Scotland shows Eliza and Henrietta Huszti.
CCTV analysis revealed that just prior to their last sighting, the sisters had visited the bridge earlier on January 6, around 2:50 p.m. They were identified as having rucksacks at that time.
“The footage shows them at the footpath and the Victoria Bridge for approximately five minutes without interacting with anyone else,” officers revealed in their appeal.
“Following their visit to the bridge, they were seen walking through the city center, passing through the Union Square shopping center, back toward their residence in the Charlotte Street area of Aberdeen,” the appeal outlined.
According to police, there are no indications that the sisters ventured away from their flat until just before they were last seen near the River Dee that night.

Authorities describe the missing sisters as white, of slim build, and possessing long brown hair.
Local superintendent David Howieson provided insights into the investigations, stating, “We have thoroughly analyzed significant amounts of public and private CCTV footage as we trace the sisters’ movements,” according to their reports.
He confirmed that a team of officers is diligently reviewing hours of recorded footage.
